People subjected to abuse or neglect tend to keep their experiences to themselves. The problem is significant: New research shows that 117,268 children in North Carolina have reported experiencing abuse or neglect! Fortunately, The Children’s Advocacy Center is working hard to help kids in our area who are dealing with this dreadful situation by providing them with comfort and assistance.
Our team at the Byrd Agency feels strongly that child abuse is never acceptable. Our top priority should be giving these children the resources they need to overcome their traumatic experiences, grow into confident adults, and live lives of significance within our supportive community.
